We’re looking to hire an Asset and Configuration Analyst.


Role – Asset and Configuration Analyst

Utilization – Fulltime

Expected start – January 2022

Location – remote based but in the vicinity of either Cardiff or the East Midlands

Responsibilities and Accountabilities


Coordinate with the IT Operations, IT Delivery and Deployment, IT Architecture and Engineering teams to track and manage details regarding IT Assets and Configuration Information in order to support effective control and operation of IT hardware and software, infrastructure and services through acquisition, operational use, change management and disposal.


Main Responsibilities


  • Manage configuration items (CIs) and related information:
  • Identify and catalog configuration items including creating relationships between them representing their interdependencies in the CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
  • Investigate and implement techniques and processes for managing CIs and verifies that related information is complete, current and accurate.
  • Manage and maintains the service compliance of all IT and service assets in line with business and regulatory requirements:
  • Manage and record asset related contracts and lease information including warranty and support.
  • Report asset and configuration information, audit and reconcile the asset inventory and CMDB
  • Control the Asset and Configuration Management information infrastructure providing education and support to the other IT teams on their own activities to update the CMDB

Qualifications and Skills

Technical Skills

  • Broad technical knowledge of several IT functions particularly the IT delivery and IT support processes
  • Broad understanding of ITIL
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of hardware and software lifecycle management


Qualifications & Experience

· Degree level educated or equivalent experience

  • ITIL Foundation certification preferred
  • English
  • Other European languages skills beneficial but not essential
