Level 3 Desktop Support Permanent
  Working as part of the Field Engineer Team covering a variety of sites primarily along the M4 Corridor. The main location will be based in Bracknell working on site with three other member of staff and with a remote team of 5 others. To support clients primarily in the area of Server Admin with some Desktop Client When in Bracknell, as part of the Server based team you will be part of the day to day Server monitoring. Administration and management of Servers encompassing user rights, daily backups, disk quota and data grooming, Exchange issues on a 2nd and 3rd line as required. There will also be a requirement for assisting end users at their desk for urgent fixes and working in a Helpdesk environment assisting clients with remote network access. You will be expected to log and close off calls using Action Request Remedy on customer's site but occasionally visits to remote sites. Key skills/knowledge/experience/ grade of SP: working knowledge of: Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003 with in an Active Directory environment. Microsoft Exchange from version 5.5 to 2003. SymantecVeritas Backup Exec. ISA 2000 Windows Desktop 2000/XP client and full Microsoft Office 2000/XP Application suite. Hardware knowledge: Compaq/HP Proliant Server. HP/Dell Desktop and laptop. Understanding of: TCP/IP, PPTP, VPN network troubleshooting MacAfee ePo. Net shield, Groupshield.

  3rd Line Support Analyst required to assist in the managing and operation of a large Citrix farm consisting of over 60+ Servers, 750 users, three data centres and offices located worldwide. Investigations and troubleshooting to resolve day to day problems within Citrix Metaframe community. Planning and undertaking changes to Metaframe environment via scripted/automated Altiris jobs. Installation and testing of new applications as required via the business utilizing Altiris as the delivery tool. Manage and control weekly releases to Metaframe farm Servers. Monitoring and resolving MOM alerts for Metaframe environment. Ideal candidate should have experience of W2k/2003, Citrix (MetaFrame/Presentation Server). Ideally qualified with MCSA, MCSE/CCA or CCEA, Altiris and VBScript.
